Photo 19 is not a photo of Maëlle Verrier.
That's what stopped me. The other thirty-five are standard: berth 63 empty, sheets folded square like in a hotel, a red backpack, a portrait cropped from her student card with that slightly crooked smile of people who don't like being photographed. Photo 19 shows a platform. Night. Neon. A luggage cart. A clock reading 2:14.
And at the right edge of the frame, cut in half, a figure walking away pulling a cabin suitcase.
